Tired but triumphant – Phil Bamford, Andrew Luxton and Ben Murgatroyd
Now in its 6th year, over 8,000 competitors took part in the Jane Tomlinson’s Asda Foundation Run For All Leeds 10K which saw runners, joggers and walkers alike taking on the 6.2-mile challenge.
The fastest men and women runners were presented with trophies by Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson (DBE) and Judith McKenna, Chief Operating Officer at Asda.
Baroness Thompson said: “I am so honoured to have been invited to present the awards to the top three runners. This event really is a joy to be a part of and the atmosphere around Leeds is just electric. There were lots of inspirational people out there today and some impressive running times as well.”
The race was won by Jonathan Johnson in just under 35 minutes, only seven minutes ahead of Cardinal’s leading runner Richard Johnson – well done Richard!
