Oliver wins top award for second consecutive year

Congratulations to Oliver Atkinson who, for the second year running, was awarded the prestigious title of “Shopfitting Apprentice of the Year” from Leeds College of Building.  The award is presented to just one student from around sixty others studying shopfitting,

Dave Kirkup, Associate Director of Joinery, who attended the presentation, said “We’re very proud of Oliver. To win it once was a notable achievement but to win it twice is remarkable”.

David Firth, Project Manager for Sir Robert McAlpine was the guest speaker and presented Oliver with the award certificate, trophy and a £60 cheque.

Oliver has now moved onto to higher education and has enrolled on a HND course in Construction and the Built Environment which will enable him to become a Project Manager in the future.
