Cardinal is proud to announce they have recently won Kmart’s prestigious ‘Best Supplier’ award.
Kmart is a long-established department store that also has a huge online reach, across Australia. They began business in 1969, with their first department store opening in Burwood, Victoria. Since then, they have gone from strength to strength, becoming a household name for many consumers across Australia.
The vision of Kmart is to supply families with essential everyday items at affordable prices, as well as strive to deliver this through high-volume sales, efficient operations, adaptable stores and a great culture for the business, it’s employees and their customers.
To help Kmart achieve their vision, it’s important they have the right suppliers, and this is why the relationship between Kmart and Cardinal has been maintained over the years.
Cardinal has been consistent in their support for departments across the Kmart team during 2018, using their positive attitude proactive approach to provide quality services and supplies. The ‘team effort’ and collaboration with Kmart’s property department, as well as other supply partners that the business uses, has led to greater improvements and efficiencies across the business.
Working closely with Cardinal’s global team, Kmart are currently in the process of finalising a prototype conveyance tub that aims to deliver significant savings for the business. It will also help to improve the manual handling for their distribution centres and store teams.
