The annual HOG the Humber rally is a charity fundraising event in which all riders pay £10 to cross the Humber Bridge. With over 500 riders joining the rally more than £5,000 was collected for charity.
In 2013, the charities supported were Help for Heroes, Yorkshire Air Ambulance & the Martin House Children’s Hospice
The event has run each year since 2003 and has raised over £45,000 for various local children’s charities. From what was originally a 24 hour event it was very quickly realised that from the support shown this could become a weekend bike rally with all the things that go with that.
This year’s event took place on the weekend of Friday 5 to Sunday 7 July at the Hallmark Hotel, North Ferriby, near Hull. The weekend included camping (as well as hotel), bands, entertainment and ride outs, culminating in a mass cavalcade across the Humber Bridge. It’s a family-friendly event and all bikes were welcomed.
